I.F. Bandits begin Legion season with win

At Bozeman, Mont., the Idaho Falls Bandits opened the AA American Legion season with a 4-3 win over the Bozeman Bucks at Heroes Park on Friday.

Jalen Fuhriman led the way for the Bandits, going 3 for 4 with a run scored and pitching a complete game to take the win on the mound. He gave up three runs — all earned — on three hits while walking three and striking out nine in seven innings of work.

Beau Crouch went 2 for 5 with a run scored, Tyler Patterson went 1 for 4 with a run scored and Jade Rencher went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs.

The Bandits wrap up the series against the Bucks today in a doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. at Heroes Park in Bozeman.
