At 9 a.m. today, Bonneville County Emergency Management will test emergency alert sirens throughout Idaho Falls and Ammon.
Each siren will sound for no longer than 30 seconds.
Emergency management officials said “there is no need to call emergency services” about today’s sirens. In the event the sirens are sounded in a real emergency, residents should access their local news source for information and instructions.
The sirens are an outdoor warning system intended to alert those who may not be near a radio, television or other news sources during a real emergency.
