A 22-year-old Idaho Falls man has died from injuries suffered in a Sunday crash between two personal watercraft at Ririe Reservoir.
Lakoda Stommel, 22, of Idaho Falls died this morning at the hospital during surgery, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jeff Edwards said.
Bonneville County deputies responded to the Blacktail Boat Ramp at 4:08 p.m. in reference to an injury collision between two watercraft, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Stommel and Matthew Harmon, 28, of Idaho Falls were riding in the same area of the lake and collided, the release said.
Stommel reportedly went into cardiac arrest and was revived prior to being transported by Idaho Falls Ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, the release said.
