Police arrested an Idaho Falls man Wednesday for alleged inappropriate touching of a 14-year-old boy, authorities said.
James R. Mottor, 30, was booked into Bonneville County Jail and charged with lewd conduct with a child younger than 16.
Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen said Mottor was detained immediately after being questioned by detectives at the Police Training
Annex, 740 Park Ave.
The alleged incident occurred in January, Hansen said. The victim told his mother,
who lived with Mottor at a residence on the 1400 block of Sage Avenue. The boy’s mother reported the incident to police Jan. 27, according to a news release.
Mottor remained in custody Thursday with bond set at $50,000.
Lewd conduct with a child younger than 16 is punishable by up to life in prison.
