A woman and three juveniles were ejected from an SUV during a rollover crash Sunday afternoon on state Highway 28, northwest of Mud Lake in Jefferson County.
Idaho State Police were called to the scene of the accident at 2:40 p.m.
Travis Gneiting, 44, of Terreton, was driving south in a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer at milepost 27 when the vehicle lost the tread from one of its tires and the vehicle left the road off the right shoulder and overturned, an Idaho State Police news release said. All of the vehicle’s occupants, except Travis Gneiting, were ejected.
Gneiting’s passenger, Kathy Gneiting, 38, of Paris, Idaho, was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Travis and three juvenile passengers were transported to the same location via ground ambulance.
Jessica Clements, Community Relations Specialist for EIRMC, said Kathy Gneiting was later transported to the University of Utah Hospital. The hospital did not release her condition.
None of the occupants were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the release said.
The road was completely blocked for about 90 minutes.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
