The days are numbered for the wall in front of the orchestra pit in the Civic Center for the Performing Arts, notorious for blocking the view of those in the front row.

JCC sex abuse defendant isolated from inmates

The Department of Juvenile Corrections moved an inmate charged with sexual abuse to the “special management unit” for safety concerns Wednesday, the same day a department news release said they were “confident he does not pose a threat to other residents.”

After a lifetime of “giving with a warm hand” philanthropist and retired chemist William Maeck died Tuesday. He was 88.
