The Idaho Transportation Department is in the midst of reviewing options for the improvement of U.S. Highway 20 as it approaches West Yellowstone, and it could mean a safer future for area migratory wildlife and motorists alike. But the notion of wildlife overpasses near Island Park has seen a backlash in some corners, where some have cast the idea as part of a United Nations conspiracy.

Contractor wins $33 million claim vs. DOE

A federal court ruled Sept. 7 the U.S. Department of Energy owes joint contractor CH2M-WG Idaho more than $33 million for work related to a multibillion dollar Idaho Cleanup Project contract.
