Letter to the editor: Voting to improve Americans’ lives

Voting to improve Americans’ lives

Received Feb. 23

On January 21, I posted on Facebook a letter to the editor I wrote that was published in the Post Register, and it went viral. There have been over 143,000 shares of that posting. That means it is possible that over 1 million people have read that letter.

My Facebook “Friends” list has grown from 200 to over 1,000. I intend to utilize this exposure to encourage a cultural shift in American politics. I believe America will continue to move “forward” with the acceptance of progressive political values. It is not a matter of “if,” it is a matter of “when.”

For the purpose of improving the lives of millions of vulnerable Americans, I, and those to whom I can provide some level of influence, will continue to advocate for progressive values including restrictions on assault weapons and healthcare for all, among others. This can only be accomplished at the ballot box.

Together we can make America decent again!
