PYEONGCHANG, South Korea (AP) — The nervous energy accumulated for Mikaela Shiffrin while she waited, waited, waited for these Olympics — the ones that so many are expecting to be HER Olympics — to finally get started. First one race was postponed. Then another.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Donovan Mitchell scored 24 points, Royce O’Neale had a career-high 19 and the Utah Jazz won their 11th straight game, beating the Phoenix Suns 107-97 on Wednesday night.

GANGNEUNG, South Korea (AP) — Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot were flawless as the rest of the top contenders fell, and their free skate was enough to give the German pair Olympic gold.

DENVER (AP) — Semyon Varlamov made 43 saves for his first victory in more than a month and the Colorado Avalanche matched the franchise record of 10 straight home wins, beating the Montreal Canadiens 2-0 on Wednesday night.

JEONGSEON, South Korea (AP) — Aksel Lund Svindal became the oldest Olympic gold medalist in Alpine skiing by winning the men’s downhill on Thursday at the Pyeongchang Games.
