Hubbell, Donohue win ice dance title

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Americans Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue won the ice dance competition at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic on Saturday at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex, posting a score of 108.65 in Saturday’s free dance to go with the 71.15 they earned in Friday’s short dance.

New digs for Falcons as they welcome formidable Packers

The last time they faced off in Atlanta, the Falcons routed the Packers for the NFC title. When they meet Sunday night, the site will be different as the Falcons play their first regular-season game in Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Ertz helps lead U.S. over New Zealand 3-1

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Julie Ertz scored twice in an eight-minute span in the first half, Alex Morgan added a goal in the 79th minute and the United States women beat New Zealand 3-1 on Friday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

SONOMA, Calif. (AP) — The IndyCar season title was by no stretch a lock for Josef Newgarden. But when he hit the exit wall to pit road at Watkins Glen, it blew the championship race wide open and put Newgarden in the worst possible position.
