Rexburg’s Garrett Smith snapped a four-night streak of buck offs Wednesday at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
The Madison County cowboy received a score of 80 for night seven at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, keeping him sixth in the bull riding average with three nights remaining. Ranked No. 2 in the world entering the NFR, Smith was one of eight cowboys to stay on for the required eight seconds Wednesday.
Sage Steele Kimzey, who entered the NFR ranked No. 1 in the world, has received scores for six of seven rounds and surpassed Trey Benton III to take the lead in the average.
