Eastern Idaho was well represented near the top in the weekly High School Football Media Poll released Wednesday.
Highland jumped past Coeur d’Alene to grab the top spot in 5A. The Rams held off Orem while Coeur d’Alene struggled to get past Skyline. No District 6 teams received votes.
In 4A, Bishop Kelly retained the top spot but Rigby jumped into second place after thrashing Century last week at Holt Arena. Pocatello moved into the fifth spot and Blackfoot was just out of the top five.
In 3A, Shelley rode a dominating performance over Faith Lutheran of Las Vegas to the top spot. Snake River moved up to third place.
In 2A, West Side sits in third after a win over Firth while the Cougars slipped to fourth. West Jefferson, which snapped a two-year losing streak, is among those receiving votes.
Challis is the lone District 6 1A Division 1 team receiving votes while Clark County is the only area 1A Division 2 team showing up in the poll as others receiving votes.
