Rebensburg wins WCup GS, Shiffrin 5th

SOELDEN, Austria (AP) — Viktoria Rebensburg took the season-opening women’s World Cup race on Saturday for her 14th career victory, seven years after winning her maiden giant slalom on the same hill.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon senior receiver Charles Nelson told coach Willie Taggart this week that the one thing he always wanted to do was throw a touchdown pass.

The Diggers won their first girls state cross-country title since 2013 and their third consecutive boys state title. Eastern Idaho also won seven other trophies in 3A, 2A and 1A.
