Doktor Kaboom is bringing his unique science show back to Idaho Falls next month.

The German-born physicist uses comedy and crazy demonstrations to bring science to life during his shows. He taught the science of Santa to Idaho Falls audiences a couple years ago. This year, he’s introducing “It’s JUST Rocket Science!” which according to an Idaho Falls Arts Council news release “combines high energy interactive comedy and an explosive lineup of science routines that focus on the scientific hurdles of space travel.”

Doktor Kaboom’s show is aimed at children in grades 5 through 8, but the whole family will enjoy it.

“Doktor Kaboom is an incredibly entertaining performer, but he also makes science fun and accessible for kids,” Brandi Newton, Executive Director of the Idaho Falls Arts Council, said in the release “My kids still talk about recreating the hovercraft Doktor Kaboom made on stage four years ago.”

The show is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Colonial Theater. Tickets are $12 and are available at 208-522-0471 or

Doktor Kaboom will also be performing matinees for local elementary schools.
