The Idaho Falls Arts Council kicks off another series later this month, bringing the feel of big-city clubs to town with its Carr Gallery Sessions.
An Arts Council release said the series is designed to create “an up close and personal atmosphere with on the rise musicians.”
Andy Hackbarth, a classically trained guitarist and singer-songwriter, will kick off the series at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in the Carr Gallery at the Willard Arts Center, 498 A St.
“This series was inspired by the experience of going to a club in New York or another big city; sitting close to the stage with a couple friends and some drinks to hear really incredible live music,” Brandi Newton, Executive Director of the Idaho Falls Arts Council, said in the release. “Andy was the perfect person to kick off this series. He’s an amazing musician, but he is also a charming performer who will keep the crowd laughing and entertained.”
Hackbarth, who performed with his band at the Colonial Theater in 2015, will highlight the works of Spanish guitar virtuoso Segovia, along with his own songs and modern covers.
Tickets are $35 and include a free drink voucher. Tickets are available at the Idaho Falls Arts Council at 208-522-0471 or idahofallsarts.org.
