Ty Herndon and Due West, country music artists who have found recent success on the Billboard Country charts, will perform in concert tonight at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the center, 870 Fisher St.
Several of Herndon’s songs have hit No. 1 on the country music charts.
In 2009, Due West, had the highest debuting single for an independent band with “I Get That All The Time.” It debuted at No. 47.
Performing Arts Center director Susan Mann said she’s looking forward to the performances.
“Due West is an up-and-coming band,” Mann said. “They opened for Trace Adkins at the (Eastern Idaho State Fair) last year and there were people who bought tickets just to see them. Ty Herndon has had 17 No. 1 hits and has a fantastic voice. This is a good balance between an up-and-coming band and an established performer that a lot of people know.”
Tickets for the concert start at $15 and can be purchased at the door or online at www.blackfoot pac.com.
“This will be a great concert,” Mann said. “Even if you’re not a big country fan, I think Herndon and Due West can appeal to fans of different genres. There will be some extremely talented musicians on stage (tonight).”
