Doctor reviews 10-year residency plan


Dr. Ted Epperly, president of the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, gave an extended presentation Wednesday covering the 10-year plan. While his presentation didn’t address the “nuts and bolts” of proposed 2019 funding, budget documents suggest there will be a coming dispute over the level of funding for residency programs this year, including programs to be based in Idaho Falls and Blackfoot.

Labrador pushes bill to build wall


Raul Labrador and three other Republicans are introducing a bill that would let some undocumented immigrants who were brought here as children stay for another three years, while also passing a host of other immigration-related measures Republicans have been discussing, including a $30 billion wall along the U.S.-Mexican border and cutting legal immigration by about 25 percent.

BOISE — The former wife of an Idaho Republican state lawmaker who shot and killed himself this week says he was under investigation for molesting two girls, including a young female relative who was abused for more than 10 years.

When picturing the old-time vision of Americana, one image that comes to mind involves the friendly neighborhood milkman. For much of the 20th century, this profession was a community mainstay, with delivery drivers providing fresh dairy products to a person’s door on a weekly basis.
