Kenney to perform at Carr Gallery Sessions

Singer-songwriter Mo Kenney will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27 as part of the Idaho Falls Arts Council’s Carr Gallery Sessions.

The Arts Council described Kenney’s work as “relatable, and sometimes bitingly honest, lyrics and clear voice, which combine to make catchy and heartfelt music.”

Tickets are $35 and include a drink voucher. They are available at idahofallsarts.org/carr-gallerys-sessions-1. The Carr Gallery Sessions offer more intimate performances by up-and-coming artists.

Symphony to host Evening of Chamber Music

The Idaho Falls Symphony will host its first Evening of Chamber Music at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Carr Gallery, 498 A St.

The event will feature the principal strings of the Idaho Falls Symphony, and include a unique concert format that begins with Robert Tueller on solo cello, then expands to a duet, then a trio, and finally a string quartet. Emma Rubinstein (violin), Ariel Loveland (violin) and Lisa McNiven (viola) are the other featured performers.

Limited seating is available. Tickets are $40 and include desserts. Drinks will also be available for purchase. Tickets are available at 208-529-1080 or by emailing office@ifsymphony.org.

Colonial Uncorked fundraiser scheduled

The Idaho Falls Arts Council will host its annual Colonial Uncorked fundraiser on Jan. 20.

According to the Arts Council website, the event features a multi-course small plate dinner with wine pairings catered by the area’s best chefs. A limited number of tables of eight will be available for this intimate evening featuring live entertainment, cuisine, and a live auction.

Tickets are $100 and are available at idahofallsarts.org. All proceeds benefit the Idaho Falls Arts Council.
