ARTitorium discounted admission
The ARTitorium, 271 W. Broadway, offers $3 admission through Jan. 6. The ARTitorium offers a variety of hands-on learning activities for participants of all ages. They are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and will be closed Sunday and Monday. Visit artitoriumonbroadway.org.
The Idaho Falls Sister Cities Youth’s Winter Carnival runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Joe Marmo/Wayne Lehto Ice Arena, 390 Rogers St. The cost for one session is $5 per person or $25 per family; both sessions run $7 per person or $35 per family. There are games, a raffle and open skate. Skate rentals are available.
Olde Fashioned Christmas and Winter Festivals
Today is the last day to attend the Museum of Idaho’s annual exhibit Olde Fashioned Christmas and Winter Festivals, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit features Santa Claus figurines, nativities from various cultures around the world, gingerbread houses, decorated Christmas trees and also explores different global holiday traditions. The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho, 300 S. Capital Ave., features three art exhibits. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for youth and students with ID, $10 for family and free for children under 5. Call 208-524-7777 or visit theartmuseum.org.
ART Idaho is the museum’s 10th biennial juried competition and displays various works from artists across the state. This exhibit runs until Feb. 18
Exhibits closing today include artwork from The Colored Pencil Society of America, District 217, in the Corridor Gallery, and in the Studio Gallery, ARTmart, the museum’s annual shopping event featuring original art by museum artists.
Collector’s Corner Museum runs its veterans appreciation exhibit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 900 John Adams Parkway. The exhibit includes military-themed items from numerous eras. This coincides with its permanent display of more than 125 individual collections. Entry is free to veterans and children under 3. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students.
