Great program

Received May 8

There is a youth program in Idaho Falls deserving special recognition. The Idaho Falls Junior Golf program under the leadership of Tim Reinke, the director of golf operations for the city Parks and Recreation Department, introduces boys and girls, ages 6 through 17, to a game that can be played and enjoyed for life. Participants can play at all three city courses twice per season lasting six weeks and culminating with a banquet where all players are acknowledged. Clinics are conducted by not only Mr. Reinke at Pinecrest Golf Course, but also John Graham and Gaylen Dennings, head professionals at Sand Creek and Sage Lakes golf courses.

Each clinic touches on fundamentals and golf course etiquette. Registration information for the 2013 season can be obtained by going to GolfIF.com and clicking on Leagues and Associations.

Opening day for the 2013 season is scheduled for June 3 at Pinecrest Golf Club. (Word count: 150)
