Responding to Olsen

Received Sept. 29

This is in reply to Donna Olsen's letter entitled "Check the facts." You wanted facts. Well, here goes, right out of the health care bill:

Page 239, lines 14-24 -- government will reduce physician services.

Page 341, lines 3-9 -- government has the authority to disqualify medical plans, HMOs, etc.

Page 354, Sec. 117 -- government will restrict enrollment of special needs.

Page 425, lines 2-12 -- government mandates advanced care planning consultations. Seniors will be interviewed every year for health issues and decisions made as to what care they can and cannot receive.

Page 427, lines 15-24 -- government mandates program for orders for end of life.

Page 429, lines 10-12 -- advanced care consultation may include an order for end of life plans.

Also I did not lie about how Obamacare has affected me and my husband financially. As far as the $716 billion taken from Medicare, where have you been? It has been on the news even before the legislation was passed. Why do you think most seniors are so opposed to it? I have also been told by people I know in the medical field here in Idaho that doctors are already starting to not take Medicare patients anymore because they face cuts in their reimbursements.

Your hatred for conservatives like me is obvious in the diatribe that came out of your mouth at the end of your letter. This is not a party, liberal or conservative issue. This issue affects all seniors. (Word count: 245)
