Cost of war
Received March 18
You recently printed an Associated Press article about the costs of the Iraq War. The article omitted information released in March 2013 by the Government's Accounting Office (GAO), which reported as follows:
One: The cost of the Iraq War has reached $2.2 trillion.
Two: Billions of dollars are missing and unaccounted for.
Three: Adding the interest is estimated to bring the cost of the Bush/Congress war close to $3 trillion by 2050.
The Federal Reserve Board (bank owned) can print money, but the war cost, which was borrowed, will be eventually paid by U.S. taxpayers. (Word count: 94)
