Idaho State's Rumble lands on Big Sky 1st team


A pair of Idaho State receivers hauled in All-Big Sky honors Tuesday.

Senior wide receiver Rodrick Rumble earned first-team honors for the second straight season, while senior Josh Hill, a 2008 Blackfoot graduate, was named to the second team.

Rumble posted his second straight record-breaking season as he finished as ISU's all-time leader in career receptions (223) and receiving yards (2,863). Despite missing the first two games of the season, he led the conference with 74 receptions.

Hill finished his senior season with 70 receptions for 630 yards and five touchdowns, giving him 143 catches, 1,270 yards and nine touchdowns in his career.

Montana State earned both the league's offensive and defensive MVP awards. Junior quarterback DeNarius McGhee was the offensive MVP while senior linebacker Jody Owens was the defensive MVP.

Idaho State wide receiver Cameron Richmond, guard Mark Clampitt, quarterback Kevin Yost, linebacker Trevor Spence, corner back Donovan Henley and safety Taison Manu earned honorable mention status.
