Prosecutors on Wednesday dismissed charges against the two Idaho Falls men who police believed assisted another in an attempted stabbing.

Bonneville County Prosecutor Bruce Pickett said aggravated assault charges against Glenn Russell and William Holler were dismissed due to lack of evidence.

Holler, 24, was arrested Oct. 31 along with Casey S. Taylor, also of Idaho Falls, after Taylor reportedly attempted to stab an unnamed 34-year-old man in the arm, but the man got away. Russell, 50, was arrested Nov. 5, also for reportedly assisting Taylor in the assault, police said.

Taylor, 31, was charged with aggravated assault, and his next court appearance is set for 8 a.m. Dec. 3.
