STUART C. TYLER 95th, May 17, 1918: Stu will celebrate his 95th birthday Friday, May 17, 2013. He was born and raised in Ucon and graduated from Ucon High School in 1936. He served an LDS mission in Eastern Canada from 1940 to 1942.

He married Rhoda Marie Stucki on Feb. 6, 1942, after Rhoda finished her LDS mission in Hawaii. Together they have five children: Sondra, Janet, Stu, Vic and Cindy. They raised their family in Ucon, Mud Lake, Arco and Rigby. Stu has lived in Thomas, near Blackfoot, for the past 20 years.

Stu did construction work for many years. He worked for 18 months in Kuwait, Arabia, in 1966, supervising concrete work on an oil refinery. He later spent 18 months in Puerto Rico working in construction.

Stu is an Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver and recently received the Outstanding Eagle Scout award from the Grand Teton Council. He has worked in Scouting for many years and has always enjoyed working with the boys.

Music has been his lifelong hobby. He plays the piano, harmonica, guitar and banjo by ear. Stu has written and published 15 songs. He enjoys making music with the Harmoneers and chorus at the Blackfoot Senior Citizens Center.

RHEA L. CHRISTENSEN 90th, May 17, 1923: Rhea L. Christensen will be celebrating her 90th birthday Friday, May 17, 2013.

She was born in Victor, Idaho, the oldest of 12 children born to Eldon and Velda Johnson.

She married Leo W. Christensen (deceased since 2002), and they have two sons, David W. Christensen and Donald J Christensen.

She was a hairdresser for many years with her shop in her home. She loved gardening and always had a beautiful yard.

She now resides at Lincoln Court Retirement Home and would love having visitors.
