Cadet Dak Allen Kibler, son of Sheila and Jeff Kibler of Pullman, Wash., formerly of Firth, will graduate from the United States Military Academy, West Point, on Saturday, May 25, 2013.
Kibler graduated as valedictorian from Firth High School in 2005. After serving a two-year LDS mission, he attended USMA. Dak traveled for study abroad at Al Akhawyn University in Ifrane, Morocco, receiving recognition for playing collegiate.
Kibler has received leadership recognition as cadet company commander and double majoring in geospatial information science and Arabic. He has been inducted into three honor societies: the Golden Key International Honor Society (consistently making the dean's list for four years), Gamma Theta Upsilon International Geography Honor Society and Phi Sigma Lota International Foreign Language Honor Society (both 3.5 GPA or higher).
Kibler will commission as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Aviation branch and will report to Fort Rucker, Ala., for helicopter pilot training.
