Gender, age, breed: 3-year-old hound mix

Mandy's story: Mandy is a very sweet dog that would love a great home. She appears to be house trained, is good with other dogs and is great with kids.

If you're interested in adopting Mandy, visit the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter at 2450 Hemmert Ave. All adopted animals are required to be spayed or neutered before going home. The staff will make an appointment with the vet, and the adopter can pick up his or her new family member when the procedure is complete.

The Humane Society of the Upper Valley hosts an animal adoption from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays at PetCo. The Bonneville Humane Society conducts adoptions from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 444 N. Eastern Ave. and every other Saturday at PetSmart. If you have an animal that needs a new home, or if you are willing to foster a homeless animal, call the Humane Society of the Upper Valley at 681-4788 or the Bonneville Humane Society at 529-9725 for more information.
