ANNIVERSARIES

Anniversaries are accepted starting with the 25th. The entry deadline is 10 a.m. Monday for publication that week. Call 542-6781 or email calendars@postregister.com.

ALBIN 50th: Bud and Ann Albin were married Nov. 20, 1962, in Bozeman, Mont. They have lived in Montana, North Dakota and Idaho.

They have two children, Stacey and Brock. They have six grandchildren, Quianna, Keifer, Anna, Kate, Trey and Nate; and they have two great-grandchildren, Collin and Kyler.

They are both retired and enjoying traveling. They have spent extensive time in Europe and Asia but find that their greatest joy is spending time with the grandkids. They celebrated their anniversary in Cabo with their children and grandchildren.

Happy 50th anniversary, Mom and Dad! We love you!

KROLL 70th: Longtime Idaho Falls residents Charles (Bill) Kroll and Ardith Fotheringham (Larry) Kroll were honored on their 70th wedding anniversary.

Before retirement, Bill worked for the Idaho Department of Highways and Larry owned a dance studio, The Conservatory of Ballet.

All seven children, their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends gathered in Oceanside, Calif., on Sept. 15, 2012, to pay tribute to the couple, who were married Sept. 22, 1942. The family gathered at a beachfront house and spent the weekend catching up on stories and events from the lives of the honorees.

Their children are Karrolee Tomchak of Grants Pass, Ore.; Jan Crooks of Ramona, Calif.; Chuck Kroll of Weiser, Idaho; Sally Bohl of Woodinville, Wash.; Suzan Stone of San Diego; Kurt Kroll of McCall, Idaho; and Tom Kroll of Round Rock, Texas. Other special guests who attended the catered dinner Sept. 15 were Marilyn Gosney, Colleen and Jim Cherry, and Marge Thomas along with two of her daughters.

Larry and Bill now divide their time between Star Valley, Wyo., and Yuma, Ariz.

CAMPBELL 50th: Garth and Rochelle Campbell were married Nov. 21, 1962, in the Idaho Falls Temple and are celebrating their 50th anniversary and Thanksgiving this week.

Garth and Rochelle are the parents of six children, Stephanie, Kathrine, David, Rebecca, Joseph and Perrin; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren with another on the way.

Both natives of Idaho Falls and the surrounding area, for years their home in Basalt has been a gathering place for Rochelle's unbelievably amazing meals, holiday celebrations and Sunday afternoon barbecues.

Garth and Rochelle have always (and still do) serve as wonderful examples for their children and grandchildren on the value of honesty, hard work and what it means to put family first. When other couples would have been enjoying their golden years, Garth and Rochelle have tirelessly helped care for ailing children and their grandchildren with nary a complaint, and they still find time to help out in their church and community.

It has not always been smooth sailing, and their children and grandchildren have often thought they were smart enough not to need the advice born from Garth and Rochelle's hard-learned life lessons and experience. But, time and again, Garth and Rochelle have always been there to help their children and grandchildren cope with life's ups and downs.

So, from your kids and grandkids, thank you, Mom and Dad! We each feel so blessed to have you, and we can only hope to match your wonderful example of love, courage and patience. We love you!
