Bonneville County prosecutors dismissed charges against an Idaho Falls woman who police said tried to hit her husband with a minivan.

The aggravated assault charge and enhancement for use of a deadly weapon charge against Teresa Furniss, 33, were dropped without prejudice in September.

Bonneville County prosecutor Bruce Pickett said charges were dismissed at the victim's request.

Furniss' husband, Travis Furniss, 31, told prosecution he would testify because he wasn't afraid during the July incident.

In order to file an aggravated assault charge, the victim needs to have a certain amount of fear, Pickett said.
