BLACKFOOT – Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle collision that occurred Monday, Dec. 6, at approximately 7:30 a. m. in Bingham County.

Police said a 34-year-old male from Pocatello was driving a 2012 Honda Civic eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 296, west of Blackfoot. A 35-year-old male from Pocatello was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Impala westbound. The Honda Civic crossed the center line and struck the Chevrolet, police said.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and transported to the hospital via air ambulance.

The lanes were blocked for approximately three and a half hours.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
