Members of Tim Roide’s Type 2 Great Basin incident command team issued their final report to the public and Custer County commissioners Sept. 10 on the 36,000-plus acre Rabbit Foot Fire northwest of Challis.

Two American flags valued at $20 each were stolen on the same day from the flagpole at the Challis American Legion Hall and from a stanchion outside the 2nd Hand store, which is across the street from the Legion.

Challis City Council members want to add to the budget for the current fiscal year and have scheduled a Sept. 20 public hearing to consider that action. People can comment on the proposal to reopen the budget at the hearing.
