Watercolor artist Leila Jarvis, Salmon, was recently honored in the 2016 NorthStar Watermedia National Juried Exhibition when she was selected as one of the 65 artists (out of 260 entries) to show work at Lakeville Area Arts Center in Lakeville, Minnesota, in the society’s second annual national exhibition.

Artists were reviewed by juror Kerry Morgan, director of gallery and exhibition programs at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Leila’s painting “Bitterroot View” will be displayed at Lakeville Area Arts Center until the end of this month.

Leila’s paintings are also on display at the Purple Easel Gallery in Salmon. She has lived in Salmon for nearly 45 years and has studied watercolor under the tutelage of many prominent artists in the U.S. and other countries.

NorthStar Watermedia Society is the oldest watermedia society in Minnesota with approximately 250 members from across the Twin Cities area, throughout Minnesota and into northwestern Wisconsin.
