Authorities are searching for a dangerous fugitive with a criminal history including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping who has ties to eastern Idaho.
Derick Lee Perry, 33, is wanted for a felony parole violation and has connections in Bingham and Bonneville counties, according to East Idaho Cold Cases, an Idaho Falls-based group that helps find missing people and bring fugitives to justice.
The Idaho Department of Correction is leading the effort to apprehend Perry. Authorities have not yet provided an explanation of the felony parole violation Perry allegedly committed that has triggered the manhunt for him.
Perry has been living in the Boise area but previously resided in Blackfoot.
Southwest Idaho Crime Stoppers has Perry listed as one of the state's Most Wanted fugitives and there is a cash reward for information leading to his arrest.
Perry is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds with red hair and blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his back, arms and legs.
East Idaho Cold Cases said Perry's criminal history includes serious offenses committed in eastern Idaho.
Crime Stoppers of Southwest Idaho is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to Perry's arrest.
