An Idaho Falls man was arrested Saturday after he reportedly beat a woman.
Police spoke with the victim who reported that Danial Barton Albertson, 30, had punched her in the face and kicked her in the stomach following an argument about finances, according to an Idaho Falls Police Department report.
The police report states the victim’s nose was bleeding and her face and neck were covered with dried blood.
The officer met with Albertson at his home on the 100 block of Seventh Street, where the incident reportedly happened. Albertson said the argument escalated and the victim attacked him. The officer asked Albertson again what had happened, and Albertson said he had blacked out and could not remember. The officer arrested him.
Albertson was charged with domestic battery inflicting traumatic injury, punishable with up to 10 years in prison. His bond was set at $15,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in Bonneville County Courthouse.
