BLACKFOOT — The local woman who failed to return to jail while on work release this past November has been arrested.
Shauna Kay Brumfield, 42, of Blackfoot, was arrested by a probation officer for meth possession at a house in Blackfoot on Friday, the Bingham County Sheriff's Office reported.
Brumfield had been wanted by police ever since Nov. 25 when she failed to return to the Bonneville County Jail in Idaho Falls while on work release.
The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office reported that Brumfield left the jail to go to her job at a local business on Nov. 24 and was due back at jail during the early morning hours of Nov. 25 but never returned.
Further details on her arrest in Blackfoot have not yet been released.
Brumfield is currently being held in the Bingham County Jail on the meth charge and arrest warrants for not returning to the Bonneville County Jail in November.
