POCATELLO — Police are urging the public to use caution and remain vigilant as they investigate what they believe was a murder at a home on the city's north side.
Police held a press conference Wednesday morning at Pocatello police headquarters about the death at the house in the 1000 block of McKinley Avenue, a residential neighborhood near NOP Park and West Alameda Road. Police said during the press conference they have no suspects and until an arrest is made people should lock their doors and windows and be on the lookout for any suspicious activity.

Police said they don't want anyone to panic about the ongoing murder investigation but they urged everyone to be careful and stay safe.
Police responded to the house in the 1000 block of McKinley Avenue on Tuesday evening after a person found a dead relative at the residence.
Police say they believe the deceased person was murdered, but they haven't released more information.
Authorities have also not provided the deceased person's name; police did say the victim was an adult.
Police said that releasing additional information about the death at this point would hurt their investigation.
Police said all they want the public and media to know at this point is that the death is being investigated as a homicide and people should report any and all suspicious activity.
