Joyous Christmas melodies are heard throughout town with saxophonist Kevin Young and an Idaho Falls Symphony Family Concert.

Family Concert

The Idaho Falls Symphony Family Concert: “Sing Joyfully” starts at 2 p.m. at the Idaho Falls Civic Center, 501 S. Holmes Ave. The concert features music from “The Polar Express” and other popular, festive tunes. Student dancers from the Idaho Falls Youth Arts Center are also in attendance with the Anam Cara Singers and Bonneville High School and Hillcrest High School choirs. An Instrument Petting Zoo is held preceding the event at 1 p.m., where children can become familiar with instruments and learn from musicians. Tickets are $7.50 for students, $15 for adults and $25 for a family, which includes two adults and two children. Tickets are available at the door. Visit ifsymphony.org.

Sax for the Holidays

Christmas Open House

The Willard Art Studios’ Christmas Open House is from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. The event is free to the public and offers refreshments and unique gifts, including paintings, photograph, jewelry, prints and cards, vintage clothing and more. Wreaths Across America

The Eagle Rock Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol participates in this national event Wreaths Across America at 10 a.m. along the Idaho Falls Riverwalk and the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Freeman Park. Visit wreathsacrossamerica.org.

Build It for the Holidays

Liz Salisbury’s Build It for the Holidays class for children 9-13 starts at 9 a.m. at The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho, 300 S. Capital Ave. Using book art techniques, Salisbury helps children create a journal or photo album and picture frames. The class is $30 for TAM members and $35 for non-members. Paint with Santa and his Elves

Idaho Falls Wood-N-Craft, 570 W. 15th St., hosts Paint with Santa and his Elves from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Santa and his elves visit to help attendees with crafting and ornaments.
