A trucking company based in Bonneville County was in flames Friday morning.

The Idaho Falls Fire Department received a call that a blaze had broken out at Super T Transport at 2535 North Boulevard, according to Public Information Officer Kerry Hammon.

Hammon said the entire business was in flames by the time firefighters arrived on scene. Large fuel tanks were present near the property, so the firefighters had to fight to keep the fire from spreading to them.

“We were in defensive mode just keeping the fire from spreading to other areas,” Hammon said.

The fire department returned to the site of the fire later in the day after a flare-up. Hammon said the fire department sent a couple of fire engines and is watching for additional flare-ups.

Hammon said the fire has since been contained. No one was inside the business at the time, and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Hammon said the Fire Prevention & Investigation Division is investigating, and that it may be a week or more before the cause is determined.
