Check out photos from the Happy Stitchers. The non-denominational group gets together every Tuesday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church to make quilts for those in need. The group has made quilts for “left behinds,” children in China that are left behind when their parents move to cities for work, preschool children, hospital patients, along with other groups. “It’s a great way to fellowship,” said Irena McDaniel. “We all treat each other like family.” The quilts usually take between four-to-five months to complete.
