Bonneville County property owners, which includes all the cities, towns, villages, etc., 70 or more years of age should no longer have to pay any school taxes, bonds, assessments or levies of any kind, period.
Actually, this should be a statewide policy. They have more than paid their dues and/or their fair share.
Question for the county commissioners, mayors and tax assessors: The population is increasing every day, and homes of all different sizes and configurations are being built throughout the various cities and counties. Both mean a larger or bigger overall tax base, so why the hell are our taxes going up drastically every year?
Are those of us who've lived here for years or were born and raised here subsidizing all these damn blue state transplants?
