I am writing this the day before the election. If it gets published, it will not influence anyone's vote. I want to ask all the readers of this paper, will you respect the winners? Will you respect the losers? Will you respect your neighbors and their right to vote as they see fit? I am going to try. I ask the candidates if you lose, will you still try to help? If you win, will you concentrate on being a positive asset to all your constituents? Or will we continue the rabbit holes of blind party allegiance and hateful, meaningless legislation? Will we respect each other and our differences or single each other out for our differences and grow so far apart that we are not united at all in our states? We need more or we will fail. Most of all, be kind.
