On Aug. 22, two of us were floating on the Snake River when our raft blew out a seam and the front half of the raft lost all air. We managed to flag down a commercial guide, and he advised us to call 911. He was able to give us our location on the river. Without cell service it would have been a whole new ballgame.
Within 45 minutes, four rescue personnel arrived to store your gear and raft, as well as our 120-pound golden retriever, Brodie.
When off the river they helped us load our gear and the raft on top of our truck.
They should be commended for their professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. They had a good sense of humor too!
Thanks to the crew.
