At Twin Falls, the Twin Falls Cowboys finished strong with eight runs over the final three innings to down Upper Valley 12-5 in Thursday’s opening round of the American Legion AA state tournament.

Tyler Pena knocked in two runs during a five-run second inning for the Bulldogs (21-14), but they were blanked the remainder of the game.

The tournament continues Friday at College of Southern Idaho.
