At St. George, Utah, the Idaho Falls High School softball team opened its season with two road victories on Friday, defeating Desert Oasis 7-3 and Maple Mountain 8-6.

Jaidyn Clement picked up the win in the opener, surrendering no earned runs into the seventh inning. Madi Burton and Kennedy Robertson each knocked in two runs.

Burton finished 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs and Macie Cordon was 3 for 3, with 4 RBIs and a homer.

The Tigers were leading Roy 16-1 in the third inning as of the Post Register deadline of 10:30 p.m.

Idaho Falls plays Desert Hills and North Sanpete today.
