At Rexburg, Rigby rallied late to take the lead in the first game, then had to hold off the Bobcats after they scored six in the bottom of the seventh, highlighted by RBI singles by Mason Flanary, Jordan Porter and a two-run triple by Jaden Schwab. Trey Armstrong’s grand slam in the top of the seventh staked the Trojans to a 14-6 lead and they held on, 14-12.

Madison (7-14, 7-5) earned the 5A District 5-6 split as Porter homered and drove in four runs and Kekoa Jensne added four RBIs in a 13-3 victory in the nightcap. Jaden Scwab pitched a five-inning complete game. Conner Martin knocked in all three runs for Rigby (6-13-1, 5-6-1).
